BSMB Spring Meeting "Stroma, Niche and Repair"

April 8, 2019

On April the 8th and 9th 2019 the BSMB held it's Spring Meeting at the University of Liverpool in Conjunction with Matrix Biology Ireland. The conference, organsied by Prof George Bou-Gharios was attended by over 150 delegates from across the world and focused on the them 'Stroma, Niche and Repair'. A highlight of this meeting was the inaugural awrad of the BSMB medal to Professor Ken Yamada. To see the conference booklet click here.

 

BSMB Autumn Meeting 'Cell Adhesion Networks in Health and Disease'

Sept. 9, 2019

On September the 9th and 10th, 2019 the BSMB held it's Autumn Meeting at the University of East Anglia. The conference, organsied by Dr Stephen Robinson was focused on the them 'Cell adhesion networks in health and disease'. A highlight of this meeting was the announcement of this years BSMB youn investigator awardee who was Dr Slavatore Santamaria. To see the conference booklet click here.

Basement Membranes in Health and Disease

The BSMB Autumn meeting will took place online. The theme was Basement Mebranes In Health and Disease. The Meeting took place on the 1st to 3rd of September 2020.

Inflammation, Fibrosis, Resolution and the Matrix

Interactions between Lipids/Derivatives and the ECM: pre-clinical and clinical relevance

This meeting will take place online and will be hosted by Dr Giovanna Nalesso and will cover aspects of the Fatty Matrix and how it relates to matrix biology. This meeting was originally scheduled for Spring 2020.

The Matrix in Development

Sept. 12, 2022

The British Society for Matrix Biology, and local organiser Dr Blandine Poulet, is pleased to invite you to the next face-to-face Autumn BSMB meeting in Liverpool, taking place at the Maritime Museum between the 12th and 14th of September 2022. A range of national and international speakers will present their recent research on "the matrix in development", and in associated matrix research. 
In addition, a pre-meeting workshop on the 12th of September will focus on early career researchers and their career, culminating in a networking event: all delegates are invited to attend this event.

Vascular Inflammation and the ECM

As the host of the next Spring Meeting, I am delighted to invite you to register, submit your abstracts and encourage members of your group to attend this fantastic meeting. The Spring Meeting will take place at the University of Sheffield on the 20th to the 21st of April 2023. There will be plenty of opportunity for interaction, lively discussion and networking. The theme of the meeting is “Vascular inflammation and the extracellular matrix”. I am honoured and excited to be joined by a number of distinguished speakers and young up-and-coming rising stars. Our spring meeting will also hold the Fell-Muir Award and lecture and a bonus satellite meeting on sustainability in research! I am looking forward to seeing you all at the BSMB Spring Meeting 2023, talk about matrix and host you at the beautiful Peak District city of Sheffield.
